Hi chaps! A few extra points:
- Thermals are average, not bad not great. Measured max 40c underneath on Z14, 44c on Z15 under intense load. Normally, cool
- fan noise mostly inaudible, under load peaks 35db (reasonably loud, but not uncomfortable or too distracting)
- no coil whine on these particular models.
- Icicle white colour also available, but harder to find it seems.

I just bought the zenbook 14, its maybe the best decision I've ever made.. great display, great keyboard, great performance, great battery life and most importantly its portable and light and very rigid..

i just got the 15 inch version and so far, i'm really loving it! 2 years ago, i got the 15 zenbook ux530 which had a 7th gen i7 cpu and the worst coil whine i have ever heard. actually, every asus laptop i got since then (and returned) had coil whine. the worst was the zenbook pro ux550. finally, asus fixed the issue and the ux533 has zero (yes, zero) coil whine. i mentioned this because it was the first thing i checked for. the screen is good, comparing it to the one on a dell xps 9570, it's not as bright or vibrant but very good for the price. the speakers are pretty great (they make the xps sound like a toy). the keyboard, unlike what is stated in this review, feels great to me: spacious and the keys feel accurate. again, comparing it with the dell, the zenbook has a better keyboard. the touchpad is ok (typical windows precision touchpad). the build quality has also been improved (at least, from what i remember). the chassis feels solid and sits perfectly level with my table. i have yet to fully put it through its paces and will have to see if the claimed battery life comes even remotely close to real life usage (probably not but i expect at least 8 hours with brightness at 70-80%).
my unit: FullHD, i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, windows 10 pro, GTX1050 Max-Q with 2GB VRAM.

OMG, I am sooo glad they have a matte 4k option. One big reason that makes me hesitate to switch from my UX501 is the matte 4k screen. I just love it. Easy on the eye, no need to endure the reflection in a library and crystal clear font display. If the thermal throttling is not too bad, I would genuinely consider switching.

I bought the 14 inch and I love it for some freelancing work and uni-work. It's very sleek and with a professional feel. I came from a MacBook pro bubble and I'm happy with the switch, but the fan is a bit loud sometimes compared to my old MacBook.
