Rate of Dissolving and Factors that Affect It

Показать описание
We'll look at the factors that affect the rate of dissolving. These are size of the pieces that we're dissolving, stirring or agitation, and temperature. The smaller the size of the pieces, the faster the dissolving process. That is because surface area increases as the pieces get smaller. More surface area allows the solute inside the pieces to contact solvent on the outside. Stirring or agitation allows fresh solvent to contact the solute. And increasing the temperature increases the kinetic energy of the solvent particles, so they move faster, and collide with the solute more often and with more force. It's also important to note that temperature affects both the solubility and the rate of dissolving.

Teaching on a smart board is great but teaching with cut pieces of paper was an emotion ❤❤

It's been three years since my 10th grade exams and you were the reason for which I secured 93/100 marks in science. All credit goes to you. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pass but still your teachings helped me excel. Loads of love, support and respect from India❤️

Love to see you do what you do best. This is the essence of teaching. Making the complicated easy, by using normal language and cut the lesson in easy to handle steps. Glad to see you.
