Chicken isn't that dumb. I've seen magicians use baby chicks, and even eggs (what chickens are before they become chickens). It's a bird so it worked for them.

Nope... 2 different things. They kept saying rubber chicken as in the ones used in gag tricks. Steve said dove as in the live ones magicians use that fly out of top hats. Then they said they're both birds. 🫤 IMO they should not have been given that answer.
