Hultafors HVK is one of the best knife i ever had, ,,Very ease to maintenance very ease to sharp and u can sharp it so much u can shave with this knife price is also very good so if u loose your knife u can buy other one ..Heavy duty GK is very good for people who like do batoning and other staff also very good for builders on construction...Stainless RFR is better for food preparing and also very practice on garden cose is stainless ..And hultafors OK4 is good for people who like more Bushcraft knife but all this knifes u can use for Bushcraft am using all the time in forest or hiking or in forest cabin Hultafors HVK for me best knife i also have few Mora knife but trust me this knife for that money is excellent i using them few years ....greath knifes

Update. It's 2018 now and I still use my first Hultafors GK for bushcraft and survival. The stainless version for food prep. Everybody I introduce to these knives likes them, even in Colombia. I think it's better than Mora's

JIS SK-5, my bad! Moras are as u mention Uddeholm 20C. Ideal allround I think is laminated steel, triplex (Mora) core carbon steel Uddeholm UHB 2140/Arne and outermost stainless 420, keeps shape and less brittle. Whilst the for woodcarving good carbon steel for edge is ideal.

Today I bought a knife Hultafors GK. Asymmetric nose. A burr on the cutting edge. It did a drunken Chinese? ))) The video shows a cutting of sheet metal. Even when cutting the a tin can, cutting edge crumble. Profile drywall it simply will kill.
Heel handle framed for strikes with a hammer or mallet. But such work with wood, the blade enters the handle up to 1 cm.
This is a good and inexpensive knife. But, IMHO, for such a reputable company as HULTAFORS GROUP, it would be appropriate to correct minor flaws that significantly affect the use of a knife as a tool.
