How to subtract without negative signs - The Method of Complements

How do computers subtract? Since computers store numbers as bits, we have to use a bit of clever math to ensure that operations involving negation work as expected. Along the way, we'll also look at negative number representation, before generalizing this idea beyond computer science!

I never seen the "mapping" method for complements. Everybody always say to subtract digit from 9. But we don't have subtraction! "Mapping" is much more intuitive and lets you think the way computer "thinks"!
