Hartmann's Youkai Girl ON PIANO! This is Koishi's theme from Touhou 11. It's also one of ZUN's greatest pieces. Its unusual and chaotic rhythm makes for a really tough arrangement. The second part features one of the best melodies ever heard in Touhou. Overall, an amazing extra boss theme.

0:50 I have heard many piano covers of this song, but this is the first one that I know of that includes the counter-melody
When the counter-melody is played (in the original) to me it often "dominates" over the original melody so this rendition felt more "faithful" to the original theme

For those wondering I just played it in reverse and it's pretty recognizable still. That doesn't only talk about the composition itself from ZUN but also how good this arrange actually is on capturing the escence of the music.

The funny thing is that it kinda trurns from a piano melody to some sort of weird string instrument. It's quite amazing. If Viddy is interested they could just upload the reversed version but I encourage anyone to try and give it a listen backwards.

whenever I hear covers of koishi's theme I always find the 0:50 part.Most people omit these which makes me sad but you sir played that spectacularly. I am having a hard time with that part too 😅

Hartman's youkai girl, is such a nightmarish piece sometimes but you really nailed that awkward 7/8s timing! I really love it too It has such an amazing and nostalgic feeling to it. I still remember how excited I was to finally beat her in SA
