I was watching this to remind myself how it was done, and was thinking "Is he gonna mention the airbag light thing?" and you did as well as informing us it only effects earlier models. I've got the 98 restyle and the thermostat temperature needle went out. People always assume the capacitors, or the coolant temperature sensor, but in my case it was the actual dial/needle. Thanks.

Hi guys thanks for your input.
My 95 lexus ls 400 is running good but trying to overheat.

Its able to drive about 25 miles and back (50) just fine about 5 times.

Then it will need a bit of coolant topped off about 12 ounces.

I looked for a leak but not a true solid check but havnt found a leak.
I have not seen the water pump leak but have not actually seen the water pump directly up close.

The heater hasnt worked since i got it, heater core looks old.
Ac works ice cold.

I changed the thermostat,
the overflow bottle cap,
the temperature sensor
near the passenger side
near the air intake,
fan clutch,
air filter,
Flushed the coolant and put new coolant.

Cabin air filter is probably really dirty.
