For you who guys that think Jihyo is better than Momo overall or in open style, she is not 🤦‍♂️. Follow my explanation below:

What makes her be comparable on stage is her energy (this is a awesome thing btw).

Open style is basically a sum of various dance styles and techniques such as hip hop, contemporary, jazz, poping, locking, etc.

Jihyo when performing a choreo on stage is really amazing, but sometimes she looks a little robotic as if it was a perfect trained dancer (she even said that she took long enough to perfect the choreos, which is a cause of this problem - overtrained). She sometimes lacks that natural flow because she was trained for Kpop.

Momo, on the other hand, dances multiple styles with ease. Because of that, she adds something more to her choreo when performing. At open style, she has more tools to work with than Jihyo, as we can all see when they do free style in some interviews. She still can improve her groove by training more street dance/hip hop, but nevertheless, she is the best dancer in kpop.

No hate, Jihyo still amazing!
