Hi guys, I have cleared by SPOM Law exams with 54 marks. I felt the question paper to be difficult. After hearing a lot of experiences from youtube my mindset was like we will clear exams any way. But its not. For me questions mainly came from 2nd module and those chapters which we were told that its less important. Guys kindly solve ICAI SPOM MCQ set as questions are also getting repeated. The exams are easy for those guys who have studied law as their main subject. Prepare well for the exams as its not that easy. All the best guys

Its a very fair review.
Students who have already appeared for CA Final exams, where LAW and SCMPE were full fledged descriptive nightmares, the SOPM test feels relatively easier. i fall in this category and honestly found the tests easier.
But for students from may 2024 and onwards, who are preparing law and scpm for the first time, you have to respect it as much as you would the main 6 papers.
Largely base the preparations around ICAI modules and support material, as there is a good probability you will find the same questions in the exam.
if you are self studying or studying with revision lectures, make sure you do the ICAI bos or old MCQ book questions as you finish each unit, this helps you understand were and what kind of questions are exam relevant. otherwise we often end up trying to study a lot more or irrelevant content.

Very honest review, and even I feel that -
1. Only students who are passing are sharing their results on social media and saying the exam was very easy, but there are many who failed too because the exam was not THAT EASY! So friends please don't stay delulu that the paper will be bed easy and take SPOM lightly as it may defer our attempt.

2. A majority of students who are appearing for exams are Nov 23 attempt students who have already studied Law and SCMPE. So for them the exam is relatively easy. But as more n more May 24, Nov 24 students appear in Spom exam, we'll get to know what students really feel regarding the Exam level.

As Riya said, We need to focus more on concepts and case studies and build our foundation rather than depending merely on module and questions.

Guys since it comes from the set of questions it can be easy for a few and difficult for others. But it's not that hard my suggestion to you is to watch spom revision lectures from shubham singhal sir . I got 56 . If i have to suggest you guys about a few topics where you will definitely find questions is
1) directors - committees, composition of the committee
2) remuneration of directors ( schedule v and max permissible remuneration)
3) NO of meetings
4) sebi LODR regulations committee
5) NCLT
6) IBC - know who is a financial creditor/operational creditor/ financial debtor
Foreign contribution and FEMA Just watch revision videos from shubham singhal sir's channel.
All this will take a maximum of 5 hours of effective study and was good enough for me .

Thanks riya coming with honest feedback, today I appeared for law spom but failed.
It is not that easy, pdna+yaad krna pdega guys, I was also feeling confidence ki ho jayega but nhi hua. Although I didn't devote such time to law.
But I realized now that spom required time.
Reqd to do practice, memorize instead only overview.
