The 'leak' you're talking about must mean the descending notes after the two "I don't know, I don't know"s...but in the 50th anniversary edition book Kevin Howlett says that John's piano part (originally on track four) was wiped and descending piano notes were overdubbed separately (possibly sometime in July) on track one of the final product. Dunno who played the overdub, but it's highly likely that it's not John😂

No strings here in this take, that's why piano and hammond sound louder and crisp.

that’s easy . Martin could not accept John’s piano playing because of his undeveloped style. Yet in respective Lennon was the one most in-tune with George’s offering. Paul was bad mouthing Harrison and overplaying . The piano, likely a grand, just a symbol of the de-evolving Beatles. I became reinterested in the song when Presley did the song in Hawai noting that Elvis, as great as he was, did not allow for a guitar solo. Real life is so ironic. If only John listened to the playback he may have heard that his pounding 16 note chords voicings did not harmonize with Martin’s violins and such . I say ‘ give me Lennon’
