#59 How My Life has Changed when Moving to the Countryside

I wasn't surprised by how long it took me to feel settled. Even though this was a move I was excited to make and I still live pretty much the same lifestyle, moving to the countryside is still a big adjustment.  

But if there is one thing that never change, it's that when I wake up one morning and feel terrible, I stop and look around: rain pattering on the roof, fire crackling in the fireplace, the bird chirping and flitting outside the window and I hear the voice of my loved ones – and I just know I am home.
And I'm reminded that life is, indeed, good.
Very good.
That it's something worth fighting for.

Beautiful. I was born in Paris, and grew up there until my 16. I never felt comfortable and myself in the big cities. But then with my mom we found a house, our DREAM house situated in the french countryside. And from the first time I knew that i belonged there !
A beautiful garden wish a pond a fishes. Strawberries, apple, tomatoes, carrots and so much more. Waking up and watching the sunrise just behind the field with our neighbor's horses.

It's really a beautiful place and i miss it every day, even though i'm living my dream and working in Japan for a time.

Watching your videos makes me have a different perspective about life. Life is not only about pursuing material things and freedom, but serenity and simplicity is very enough. Hey beautiful, my heart just filled with joy watching this video. I am currently in New Zealand and was willingly stuck here for the last 3 years. I will fly back home to Germany mid December and your videos always make me so nostalgicly homesick in a loving, beautiful way. Seeing my home country makes me very happy. I was always wondering where you live and it often looked similar to my home, in the country side. When you showed the place of the farmers market I realized that you live in the same city as I grew up in. Probably in one of the very close villages to mine. That made me so happy because I connected so deeply to your videos and they helped me with my homesickness and the thought of coming home and now seeing that you are actually showing my home is so special to me.

Es ist so schön diese Teilhabe an Eurem Leben und inspirierend sowieso! Manchmal habe ich Wasser in meinen Augen, weil es eigentlich immer schon meinem geheimen Wunsch entspro hen hat.Es gibt mir Kraft und erdet mich, ich lerne mich hierdurch nach so vielen Jahren besser kennen und habe im Grunde schon in Kindertagen genau hiervon geträumt. I was living in a big city for 7 years, 2 months ago i moved to my hometown (in countryside) . When i still in that city i always see your video about urban planting, at first im so excited.. now in here i have my little garden (with zucini, cherry tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, spinach, pokchoy, caisim, lettuce etc) . I'm living in the countryside since Mars 2021.... few hours ago I was contemplating the sun and the colors, the beauty that sometimes we forget, to just stay quite and appreciate the fact that we are lucky to be alive! days are quite challenging for all of us. I really feel grateful for the gift life is giving me even if I have to start my life all over again...maybe I miss the "comfort" of some big cities but not the Magic of being able to see seasons changing, birds singing, sea, mountains...nothing is for granted in that life!
