Jeff in this video makes some valid criticisms of US auto Companies. (21:50) Taking in lots of grant money from the US government but failed to deliver compelling Ev's and blamed it on weak consumer demand. They built non compelling expensive Ev's with massive losses, it's like putting in the glove box $20K to $30K. Those car makers deserve a tsunami of outrage for wasting hundreds of millions if not billions of our US tax payer money in this day and age. I'm all in for some kind of congressional oversight or investigation.

Many companies will make compelling prototypes. But the reason Tesla is winning isn't due to their superior prototyping, its rather in their ability to drive costs down in mass production better than anyone else. Musk: "Mass production is 1, 000 times harder than making a prototype".
