GH60 Cherristotle Build: Clicky Switches Aren't Annoying?

I finally get to build my GH60 after waiting 4 years for the PCB, plate, and switches to arrive. In the time it took for that to happen, I realised I don't like clicky MX switches. Fortunately, I have some Aristotle switches on hand, so I could put the sliders from the Aristotles into the Cherry housings along with their springs. The result is a much less annoying click. It's lower pitched and much more satisfying with excellent tactility to boot. The build didn't go without a hitch and my decision to clip the legs off the PCB mount switches came back to bite me. I had a hard time getting the switches to sit straight and had to go back with the desoldering gun to tweak things. I wasn't able to fix all of them, but I think I did a pretty good job. The GH60 I have now, is something I'm going to really enjoy using, and I'd highly recommend doing the (x)istotle mod if you want clicky Cherry MX switches with a bit of class.

Great video. Man it's tedious enough doing all the soldering and lubing, and you still managed to do the video also. Amazing work. Thanks.

ooo I love that logo!
Really great work though. Unfortunate that Krytox lube is unbelievably expensive for the amount you get.

You can fix warped keycaps but putting it in boiling water for 30 seconds, then taking it out, bend it the opposite way, then you press down on the keycap on a flat surface.

More videos of keyboards capable of swapping the keys without the need of soldering, please!

Whenever my pbt space bars are warped, I use a hair dryer and some force against a flat surface to straighten them out. Nice build!

You should try Zeal Clickiez and Kailh click bar switches.

Why did you cut them off? It makes it more stable and positions the switches less offset in the plate and pcb.

I know that most solder has flux paste in it, but have ever tried putting flux paste on your contacts before soldering? Hell of a lot of smoke, but I think it is worth it because my joints come out cleaner.

Would be acceptable to mix linear switch with aristotle in spacebar

Hi, I also have a board with Aristotle stem combined to Zealios. May I ask where can I get those "MX switch films"? Haven't found any MX switch stickers that are transparent.
