I've never understood the whole "I flirt with people I dont like for free drinks" thing. I think it's messed up.
I had a guy buy me a drink at the bar once and I told him while I was very flattered, I was Ace and he shouldnt waste his money on someone he won't have a chance with. he was so pleased by my honesty he actually bought me another drink and we just chatted for like two hours. I even bought HIM a drink and helped him talk to another girl. it was a fun night all around with nobody getting hurt feelings or feeling like they had been used.


... now granted I've also had guys who don't seem to get the message and just keep pushing. and I've had guys who continue to buy drinks regardless (I think in the hopes I'll get drunk enough to change my mind) but it doesn't change the fact I always prefer to be honest, because I would feel so used in a situation like that and I wouldn't want to do that to somebody else.

Reminds me of a time I was walking with another woman, a friend of mine, out of school by ourselves.
