Kyosho Turbo Scorpion Brushless Speed Test and Bash.

So the Kyosho Turbo Scorpion is complete and was a fantastic kit it is.
There will be some sort of build video for it eventually but in the meantime here is a run video including a speed test. It has a 3421kv brushless set and I built it with the lower of the 2 gear options (8.3 : 1) available in the kit so it would probably go a bit faster with the 6.9 : 1 gear option.
I was worried that the brushless set would be too much for the chassis to handle but it runs really well. I have to say that this is not only fun to drive but also a really tough little buggy. You will notice that it turns over a fair few times and the only thing that has happened so far is that the axle came out of the steering knuckle. This is the same as happened on my Tamiya Brat and the solution is just to put threadlock on and press it back in with a wrench.

Hi Pete, that looks awesome! Hope you are keeping well. This Kyosho looks like it’s a joy to drive and that brushless system sees to be working a treat! It really looked balanced at times, I think on some occasions with the different ground jumps, it slightly nose dived, but once you found the sweet spot, had those aerials to a tee! Hi Pete, you certainly gave it a bashing and proved how tough the Kyosho brand is! Decent speed and plenty enough for a buggy - I think it must be about double the speed of my slow Blockhead Wild One! Looks like you had a blast with this one, now I can't wait to try mine out. Albeit probably 10mph slower! I does look to turn a loty better than the Wild One, too, probably due to the better suspension. Anyway, lovely video mate and a great tune to watch it all to. Lovely cool nimble little buggy! I think 50kph is a good speed for a rwd buggy, at least it looks fast in the video. Looking forward to building mine, it's the Beetle version, I think it'll be cool.

I weighed the front end on mine with some fishing weights and blu tac and it improved the handling immensely. Still loads of fun.
