I was a young houser in LA influenced by older guys like SOUL Brothers and Dynamite Soul -even more underground and unknown to the public is the whole era of dance heads /housers or "groovers" who loved to house to hiphop - due to never ending drama and street violence that followed hihop FOR A TIME many of us would have smaller gatherings at our houses but I eventually left and went to the RAVE scene which was open minded and free from violence and limited parameters - but I regretted the loss of the intense creativity of house dancers that was found in those circles of the hiphop housers
