Preparing to evacuate when flooding is imminent: Preparing your liquid propane (LP) tank

A liquid propane tank may float away during a flood unless it is prepared properly. This will disconnect the pipe to the house and potentially provide a route for water to enter the house, allow the propane to exit the tank creating a fire hazard, and the LP tank to float miles from your home.
