This is track #8 from the 1991 album, "The Ghosts that Haunt Me," by Crash Test Dummies. The band is most identifiable by the distinctive bass-baritone voice of Brad Roberts (vocals, guitar).

@jwtsays: ginkobot77 is correct. A quick search of the song title on Wikipedia shows that "Androgynous" was written by Paul Westerberg, of The Replacements (formed in Minneapolis in 1979). The song first appeared as track 5 on their 1984 album, "Let It Be." The Crash Test Dummies' rendition is a cover of that song.

Anyway, yes, this song was originally written and recorded by the Replacements. It appears on the 1984 album "Let It Be" (yes, just like the Beatles album. And yes, that was intentional). You can find the whole album on YouTube as well as individual clips of each song. I highly recommend checking it out if you're unfamiliar.
