Look up Project Exile in Richmond, VA. In the mid 90's gun violence spiked in Richmond; local prosecutors started referring all suspects who were in violation of the Gun Control Act of 1964 to the DOJ. The NRA, the Brady Project and Handgun Control Inc. all agreed and lobbied congress in support. The GCA of 1968 requires 5 year minimums for most violations and 10 year minimums for others. The liability of having a gun was so great that criminals refused to be near any guns and gun crime was drastically reduced. I'm so glad someone mentioned Richmond.

The gospel is what's lacking in the people of this city. It saddens me about the people shot and killed here in this city. Truth be told, people like their sin. Call it what it is: SIN. The root lies in the fact that parents are not being parents. The father's not fulfilling his biblical role as the head. It's the father's fault. PERIOD. So Stop blaming it on the police. Stop blaming it on the Mayor Emmanuel. Stop blaming the Governor. And parents, need to start being the parents. If parents were parents. Chicago youth would not be the way they are now.
