Greenhouse gases rising at record levels, UN says | BBC News

Global efforts to tackle climate change are wildly off track, the UN has said, as new data shows that warming gases are accumulating faster than at any time in human existence.

The update came as a separate report showed that greenhouse gases have risen by over 11% in the last two decades, with atmospheric concentrations surging in 2023.

Researchers are also worried that forests are losing their ability to soak up carbon, which could be contributing to record levels of warming gas in the atmosphere.

No mention of the Nordstream natural gas pipeline when blown up in the Baltic Sea in September 2022, unleashed the largest single methane gas source in recent memory.

Here in North America, about 80% of new vehicles sold are pickup trucks or SUVs.. we don't give a 💩.

It was never about lowering emissions, it was about certain corners of the ruling class gaining resources, power, and influence, under the guise of fighting climate change. Anyone involved not pushing for nuclear is not trying to solve the problem.

There was a meeting a few days ago held in the USA where "they" gathered to talk about climate change? How did the delegates and hangers on get there? What a waste of effort. Stay at home and meet via a tele video link.

The parts per million of co2 have risen by 100 from 280 to nearly 400 over the last hundred or so years. Go back a few million years and co2 levels were 4000 and the oceans didn’t boil and actually life flourished. Go and look up satellite global temperatures and there is evidence temperatures haven’t increased over the last 100years. Most of the static temperature measuring “stations” up until the 1950s were in rural locations. Now they are surrounded by housing estates and industrial areas. It’s no surprise they can measure slightly warmer temperatures.

Still waiting on the mini ice age the UN and MSM warned us about in the 1980's.

Switch off those monitors in the background, BBC, and how about dimming those lights? How much are you heating that studio if the host doesn’t need to wear a sweater?

She looks very concerned, perhaps BBC could switch off a few lights, in fact all of them. Do their bit.

So, all the wind turbines and solar panels have been a complete waste of money.
