NIOH 2 - How to Beat Gyuki (Easy Strat, No Damage)

Here's how to beat Gyuki and take no damage while you're at it.

How though.. He just spams his body slam constantly every time I fight him. 90% of the time I can't even get behind him without dying.

I was stuck on this guy for a while and thought I wasn't close. Then I watched this video, and I beat him on my next try only taking a couple of hits. Fantastic vid!

This fight went from the most annoying to the most trivial the minute I just kept to his butt. He literally never attacked at all while I did that, not even in the dark realm, he was too busy spinning trying to catch me. It was hilarious. I just kept chipping at it's health with Windstorm and killed it in a couple of minute. XD

Okay so anyone reading this they changed the boss to spin more often (perhaps to counter this tactic who knows) but I just beat him easily and you can kinda do something like this. Instead of going behind the boss you tuck yourself behind his left (your right) armpit, he tends to get confused and just waddles in circles trying to find you but his body keeps you hooked in. Get yourself locked in and mid stance swipe away. I used this tactic on a boss in Elden Ring and it worked wonders here, main thing to watch for his his jump as he will still do it and you might end up under him. Just block if you can or keep yourself topped up if you can't. Also I think having a winded recovery stat on your gear is almost required for this guy, he breaks your guard way too easily and being able to recover in a second is bliss, the alternative is you get very good at timing your dodge.

This video is so different than my encounters with this boss. When I get behind him I have time for maybe two hits, and then he ALWAYS jumps and spins around to face me again.

I am in total disbelief watching this video.

I got frustrated trying to do this by getting his head stuck in the dam and going for the legs, which appears to be how the developers wanted you to tackle this. But really does not work well at all. This cheese strat on the other hand got the job done thanks.

Thanks again! This was probably the easiest boss so far. I just sticked to his read read end and kept waking in the direction he was spinning and hit him. I took no damage at all and it only took me 10 minutes lol.
