So interesting thing to note is that Actual samurai used both a bow and a sword so the original character was a traditional samurai

Being honest the concept of "genji" being a dps hero that was melee focused (aka used his sword) then for his ult (for potentially 6 seconds) he could whip out his bow and shoot dragon arrows that go through walls would have been amazing.

Geeze the fact they "split one character into two" just adds more to their whole Yin Yang theme. They're literally two equal halves of one whole.

I really feel like this could have worked. A rambunctious young man who realized humility after being betrayed by his clan and left for dead. He is a gifted swordsman who, in a world of guns, uses a bow to help him even the odds at great distance.
