I just moved away from home a few days ago and I'm honestly so homesick... I totally understand what you mean about liking the familiarity of things and being comfortable. Right now I'm struggling a little to get used to everything and being alone, but I'm just hoping this stage will pass soon.

I can totally relate with what you are saying. I'm finishing my UX Designer internship in Rome, and as much as I like having privacy and time for me, I really like to spend time with family and friends. 2 more weeks here! Then it's christmas time!

I definitely know what you mean with the "deep breath of air" when you see your family after months. It just feels good to be with the people that love you unconditionally and appreciate you! I haven't seen my family for more than a month since July of last year, but this month was one of the best months...it's crazy how we always think we need to get away from family to live life(and I agree, we need to get out and maybe a little bit away at some point), but in the end it's these people that make us to happy and pull us back down(or up?) to earth when things are turbulent. Is it obvious I'm missing my family just a little bit right now haha?

This is my first year living away from home. I left Portugal to go study Computer Science in a very small town in Ohio in the States. This is my first year in University so it was crazy to have all these new things happening all at once but honestly, it has been pretty awesome haha 😂. I do relate with you in the fact that yeah, this first time being back home for the holidays made me happy despite all the craziness happening in my life and in my studies.
