That sounded so cool, and having the brass section play it is the icing on the cake.

The First Two chords literally are the beginning of Largo movement of 9th Dvorak's symphony... There's sound's and sensations you can't reach without the magic of the harmony... Thank for this video, post more please ❤

Sustaining the chords makes it work better - well done!

"It works" also played by cancrising motion: reading from the last chord to the first. Obviously the accentuations of the chords change but it remains pleasant and convincing. 🎵👌🏽😉

Takes me back to band class. One of the few things I miss from high school.

Is it just me, or does the final chord sound like V (as if it needs to resolved to F)?

Now that's a complicated way to modulate from C to F major.

The first bar sounded like one part of the aria No, pagliaccio non son by Leoncavallo. Also, it has some Wagnerian vibes🥰🥰

Love this. My favourite bit is actually the B B B B B C Bb passing between the A and T as a sort of awkward island of stability in the middle. It would be nice to have that in the same voice, but that's not going to work with the ascending S, without leaving a big gap between upper parts.

It is an extreme examble of a omnibus sequence. Lookup in Wikipedia://
The omnibus progression in music is a chord progression characterized by chromatic lines moving in opposite directions.[1] The progression has its origins in the various Baroque harmonizations of the descending chromatic fourth in the bass ostinato pattern of passacaglia, known as the "lament bass".[2] However, in its fullest form the omnibus progression involves a descent in the bass which traverses a whole octave and includes every note of the chromatic scale.
//end-quote
Thereafter is another example of realizing an octave omnibus. (Omnibus in Latin means "for every one", or such, for every tone in the octave, chord).

Very nice! I the loved the Fm/C at the end!!

BTW the third chord should have a fig bass of 53

This is massively inspiring... it makes me want to explore some entirely harmonic progressions ive made and insert chromatic steps in between them and see if I can move into and out of my chords. This is So wonderful/beautiful in both form and execution!
