ACT records nine new COVID cases

The ACT has recorded nine new COVID cases, almost two weeks into the territory's lockdown.

Of the cases, eight have been linked to existing infections and one is still under investigation.

This brings the total number of cases linked to the outbreak to 176.

There have been seven people hospitalised as a result of the virus and one is in intensive care in a serious condition.

Despite the drop in daily cases, Chief Minister Andrew Barr warns infection numbers will jump around and says while the three-week lockdown will not end early, restrictions will be reviewed in the coming days.
