MATTHEW BARBER Last Song

A cover version of a 1972 hit by Canadian group Edward Bear: "Last Song" by another Canadian Matthew Barber. It was an induction into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame, that prompted Matthew to memorialise his tribute. I like his rendition, honoring the original whilst still putting his inimitable stamp on it and giving new life to a great pop track from over 40 years ago. The song was a huge hit for the group; achieving a #1 hit at home; a #3 in America, and a Top 5 downunder!
