Severe Sunset Thunderstorm - Athens, 23/06/2018 (4K@60FPS)

This gorgeous beast rolled in Athens city during the early evening hours of June 23rd 2018. For many local chasers, (including me) it was one of the greatest and most dramatic thunderstorms among what the city have seen through at least three years. This storm came from another planet. Rapid development of the cell just southwest of the city, staggering cloud formations (intense rotation was observable in some parts of the storm structure), literal barrage of cloud-to-ground lightning bolts, gifting our chase with a dose of danger, and of course high rain rates and destructive wind gusts.
