Magnifique interprétation, avec allant et sans sécheresse (risque dans lequel trop d'ensembles tombent malheureusement avec cette très belle pièce de Bloch), on a ici de la force et de la sensibilité tout à la fois. La fugue est sublime et impressionnante. Alarcon y est pour beaucoup. Le résultat est de haut vol. Michel Legrand (Pean d'âne) a du sans aucun doute adorer !

Wunderschöne und spannende Aufführung dieses spätromantischen und ein bisschen parodisch komponierten Konzerts mit klarem Klang des genialen Soloklaviers und seidigen Tönen aller Streichinstrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und auch lyrisch. Der geniale Dirigent leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester in gut phrasierten und rhythmischen Tempi sowie mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Wunderbar und atemberaubend zugleich!

What a well-judged and immaculately executed interpretation...! Not since Sir Neville Marriner in the late 1970s have I heard such an un-draggy and clear rendition. This clearly isn't unduly difficult music - it's a staple for amateur groups of high school and older - but, for example, the "allegro pesante" opening movement too often errs on the "pesante" (heavy) side and sacrifices sufficient momentum. Here, the opening three movements are just right, and while I might take the closing movement a hair faster (perhaps wrongly, being an amateur), I still love this unreservedly.
