Russell, I'm well proud of you mate. You're the most real person who was on question time, I bet no one on that panel has ever even seen a food bank let alone been in one to help and talk to those who work there. You're not a politician, you're a compassionate human being and you've done more for ordinary people by just listening to the love inside you than you could ever do surrounded by oak panelling and green leather. Look after yourself, because people (who may have never met you) care about you on a human level just as much as you care about them. You elevate peoples' hopes and no disingenuous racist bloke can ever do that by preventing those who are most vulnerable contributing to our society on the grounds that they were born in another country. We love you man.

This man is an inspiration. And he's using all his celebrity energy, right now, to bring awareness to very, very important issues such as - obscene wealth inequality (where 1%rich get much wealthier at the expense of the rest of humanity), injustice in work, injustice in the political process, general greed and exploitation, & media hypocrisy. He is often ridiculed because he doesn't have solid answers to all these things, however he speaks to oppressed groups and gives them a voice. I know from experience that should Russell relapse (God forbid) that all his energy will be crushed, he will feel like a fool and he will be severely ridiculed (even more than he is now)in the media. I hope that day never comes for any 'recoverer' but rest assured, what Russell is advocating right now is something our politicians & leaders aught to pick up on, because the Times they are a Changin'.

Russell I am currently reading your book Revolution. I really find a lot of the ideas I've come across so far to be just what we need for true change in the way our country and planet is run and I'm looking forward to getting further into the book.
I also want to congratulate you on your 12 years of sobriety this past week. As someone who struggles with addiction, you have become a true inspiration to me. "If I can do it, anyone can." Thank you x

I would just like to say (and i hope you get to see this message Russell) thank you for enlightening me to the truth. As someone relatively new to being interested in politics, for the past year or so had thought i was rather right wing and that most of our problems were due to immigrants moving to the UK when we don't have the resources. However i now know this is not the case and the politicians along with the media are pushing that image forwards leaving us blaming people at the same financial level to ourselves, so that they can keep there aim of making the rich richer. I haven't disagreed with a single word you have said (so far ;) )

I watch all your videos and am halfway through your book and truly feel I am starting to see the world with clarity. WOW - so much hate? What's up with that? This is a parody on humanity, right now and I for one welcome the Revolution.
I am so happy to be living in this point in time.
Russell Brand is a conduit to this, as is The Young Turks and I just continue writing with great enthusiasm . . . but the last word will always go to the memory of Kajieme Powell.
If tomorrow that same injustice was happening in my hood, I absolutely would steal two cans of pop and demonstrate injustice. Like Kajieme, not for half a second would I think I'd be shot dead . . . over two cans of pop.
But I am an energetic 53-year old Caucasian female, living in Canada. Most telling is I live in Ottawa Canada where our Ottawan Police SERVE AND PROTECT. Kajieme Powell would have not only lived through his two-pop protest, he wouldn't have served any jail time.
People worldwide travel to protest at Parliament Hill and I think that's awesome. Kajieme Powell's demonstration wouldn't result in his execution. But he's dead and I still seethe with the injustice.

Russell, you've made it clear that you do not want to stand for parliament and I think you are right not to do so. However, you have some amazing people around you. Whats to stop you collating a dream cabinet and forming a party that others ran, but that you fully supported? You'd be giving us something to vote for.

this was one of my favorite parts to read. in the book the last sentence isn't there. i think i enjoy reading it better but i liked the animation of them being animals :P
