What authorization does any of the recent presidents call upon to give out planes, helicopters, etc. to Israel, in violation of UN agreements? What authorization does the U.S. use when it vetoes all other UN nation's votes combined, when it's the only country not in favor of a resolution? We, the people, are slowly losing whatever power we did have to keep the government(s) in check. Our President seems to be working in ways that many believe is not in the best interest of Americans, but more so for a global government which will not recognize our Constitution! Call me crazy, and you may be right, but you can't convince me that our President is working to protect and preserve our rights as Americans. Time will tell; a short time I'm afraid. Man produces over 100 times the amount of CO2 that volcanoes produce. Your concentration is off as well. 0.04 is not what we "contribute." That is the total concentration in the atmosphere.

Picking 1998 because it was anomalously hot due to a strong el Nino and basing all further measurements on it is what they would call "bearing false witness." Pick any other year in the last 100 and you see a strong warming trend.

Those sources were actually net negative before the industrial revolution because the oceans and forest also absorb carbon as well as emit. As is usually the case in nature, the natural world was in balance. The carbon we started to emit was not a lot, but it was just enough to upset the balance and add to the concentration in the atmosphere. Like you said CO2 is just a trace gas and all we have increased it is from .0284 to 0.0387. Unfortunately that is enough.

The globe has been warming since the end of the last ice age, man only puts .04%(which can be called 0.0%) of all CO2 into the atmosphere, the rest comes from volcanoes, the oceans, etc. CO2 levels were higher in the past with no human activity.
