I was a kid...visiting a church without a roof about 3 months after Hurricane Andrew hit Miami. We were there serving all these folks Thanksgiving Dinner and they held a worship set beforehand. Watching these folks who lost EVERYTHING sing this with their hands up to Heaven...I was 12. Never forgotten their level of gratitude...

Iam wiping my tears away as I listen! I didn't know what I was singing as a little girl in church beside my daddy and my grandmother. Now I understand the lyrics 🥺 I miss them both so much it hurts! Iam so thankful for glimpses of a sweet childhood.
