Bubsy Games - Did You Know Gaming? Feat. Dazz

In this episode, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at some facts, secrets, Easter eggs and history of Bubsy games! The original Bubsy game came out on both the Super Nintendo (SNES) and Sega Genesis (Mega Drive), as well as PC gaming platforms. The marketing effort behind the game was massive, and there was even a Bubsy cartoon pilot made to promote the game. Among other accomplishments of the series, Bubsy 3D: Furbitten Planet is often cited as one of the worst games of all time. Through our analysis of the game, its gameplay and beta builds, we hope to show some of the more interesting facts from the making of Bubsy and have its history explained.

Wow. Hearing all of this makes me feel actually bad for Bubsy. The second and third games were near-essentially sabotaged by staff that literally hated the game and intentionally didn't try...

Gonna be honest, this developmeny story behind Bubsy is actually pretty sad. I feel bad for all of the devs who tried to make this a success and fell flat on their faces at every turn.

I was expecting mention that Rob Paulsen voiced Bubsy in his first two games and the TV pilot but dropped and disowned the role. This is one of only two roles he's disowned out of the thousands he's taken.

Lol, Bubsy 3D being shown off is like doing a presentation in school. Yours is okish, not that great, gets you a C. Then right after you give your presentation here comes Mario 64/A+ presentation that just makes you feel stupid as hell.

Huh. I used to just see Bubsy as a meme, but after hearing about the dev process and the creator, I feel sympathetic to the character I guess. His creator loves him so much. RIP Mario killed Bubsy

Imagine if Bubsy had been the industry standard for 3D platformers first though.

To be completely honest, I can't blame Berlin for how bad his games were, it seems that the team gave him hell, he got told to give up, and the people that worked for his games disliked the franchise.
