It has been over a year since Pakistan was hit by devastating floods that claimed more than 1700 lives and destroyed millions of homes. Even now, certain areas of the country continue to suffer the consequences. A large number of people are residing in temporary shelters due to inadequate financial aid from foreign countries. Aid organizations estimate that around 20 million individuals still require assistance. The UN Chief has referred to the floods as a prime example of environmental destruction caused by climate change.

They have increased their defense expenditure by 16% which u never report as they are arming up against India. Half their defense budget would easily solve their humanitarian crisis.

If they want $16B, they should sell their nukes.

The thing about giving out money to a country like Pakistan is that you can be pretty sure it wont be used for the intended purposes and will fall prey to the endemic corruption. So I'm not surprized why pledges aren't yet realized; it's like throwing money into a bottomless pit. If money is to go into Pakistan, it should go in through non-governmental international bodies. Maybe UN should set up operations on the ground and deal with the funds the right way.

They should ask their owners i.e. China for the money. China will fund them for sure and in return, will keep a province of Pakistan under mortgage

Or they can just reduce their defense spending. Their obsession with india is ridiculous.

Pakistani population has grom from 40 million in the 1950' to 240 million now. It is not hard to see where all the resources, money etc. have gone. -> population growth. Just imagine how much wealthier the country would be without such an uncontrolled population growth.

Personally it disturbs me that povery of countries like Pakistan is not explained but it is just a given fact. Of course they are poor if all resources are put into having babies.
