'Australians and businesses know' that prices are rising

Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says the official annual inflation rate ended 2021 at 3.5 per cent.

"For the quarter it was 1.3 per cent - that was much higher than was expected," Mr Greenwood said.

"Australians know it - business knows it - prices are rising, and that spells higher inflation."

It comes as pressure is increasing for the RBA to raise interest rates from their record lows.

They haven't started the economic collapse yet, if they started raising interest rates that would be the end of the housing market
