I would have never thought to paint the ceiling any other color than white. Looks great!

It actually make it wider but lower ... painting a ceiling in dark color is a bad idea unless you have a very high ceiling

It makes the ceiling feel super low and claustrophobic. I can't imagine how many coats of paint was needed to go over that gray on the wall. I would have definitely put some tape up there first.

Darker ceiling makes the room smaller during the day (natural light) and larger once the lights turn on...coz the lights throw the glow downwards which makes the roof disappear causing an illusion of infinity (dark sky).

I think it made the room look smaller and those colors ... the wall color could have been a different choice... actually slightly darker.

I'm confused, I thought paint experts always say to paint the ceiling lighter to make the room appear bigger. But the Ace guy says to paint the ceiling darker. Which is best?

We are in a tropical country. Black or gray paint on the ceiling can't protect the heat.

Dark ceiling looks bad unless you have spotlights downlights and lamps...must have at least 6-10 installed in a small room
