ADAM Audio was founded in March 1999 in Berlin. Since then the company has been developing, manufacturing and distributing loudspeakers in the field of Professional Audio.

The development of the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter based on the 1960’s invention of the Air Motion Transformer by Oskar Heil was largely responsible for the company’s founding. Producing sound not with a piston-like diaphragm as is done in most of the loudspeakers that are on the market, but using a pleated diaphragm that is capable of moving the air 4 times faster than the folds themselves are moving was the appealing idea behind it all. The achieved results were intriguing and gave ample reason for moving forward.

I'd like to replicate this setup, but whatever i do i can't find (as shown in the video) a TOSLINK to AES cable. Do you use a converter/adapter in between or where did you get that cable from?

I've recently replaced my passive hifi speakers with Adam A7Vs and they completely blow all the hifi speakers I've tried at a similar pricepoint out of the water! Don't listen to anyone that tries to tell you that you can't use studio monitors for hifi.

How the hell did you go from optical-toslink to AES/EBU Cable (xlr interconnect)??? Are you using a small DAT device?

Great video! Using stands as shown helps a lot to create better sound quality.

As suggested, try to choose a stand so that the tweeter is at ear level when you are sitting at the listening position. Usually, 22/24 inch is pretty good.

Not sure if it's the case, but it looks like the stands are WAY too high in this video.

If your stand is a bit too high, you can try to angle the speakers downwards OR put the speakers upside down.

But do NOT turn them on their side.

Setup your speakers well. They will reward you with GREAT sound ✌️😎

My cheapest Adam audio (£300) just ate Dali Oberon 1 c (£1200). I want to build a home theatre with only Adam’s. Can you make a 5.1 Adam audio system please

I'm thinking of using my S2V's in the same way however, I'd like to add a subwoofer to better enjoy movies and games. Will the Sub 10 mk2 do the trick or do I have to go for the Sub 12? Also, is there a Sub 12 mk2 in the pipeline so that I can wait for its release?

I am using S2V's with RME ufx interface, connected with AES3 cable. Will there be a difference in sound quality if I buy a better converter? If I understand correctly the DA is happening in the speaker so it doesn't make any difference which interface/ converter I use because the monitor converter prevails there, meaning no improvement? Thanks for your answer!

I have a question...I recently purchased an Onkyo 11.2 Dolby Atmos receiver, and it's currently hooked up to Klipsch speakers in my family room. Is there a way to hook up a POWERED receiver to monitors that are already powered? I of course don't have this problem in my studio with my Adam monitors, but I'm curious if I have to get a non-powered Atmos preamp if I want to switch to Adam monitors? I really love the 11.2 sound.

Hi, S2V speakers are meant to be nearfield studio monitors but you seem to be placed at more than two metters away from the speakers. At this distance is the listener in the sweet spot too? I hope so because I´m quite interested in them

What is the purpose of the USB connector? It is not listed as an input option in the specification. Many speakers have such connector as an input, but it does not seem to be the case here.
