We look at the limit comparison test (LCT) for infinite series, which says that if the ratio of an/bn tends to a finite positive number L, then the series of an terms and the series of bn terms behave the same way. Either both converge, or both diverge. We do several examples.
The Limit Comparison Test is particularly effective because it does not require the comparison series bn to strictly dominate or be dominated by an, as long as the limit of their ratio is finite and positive.
