A couple years ago the whole world went Trap crazy. It didn't matter what style of music you made, Trap suddenly was starting to influence your style. Trap beats are a little different than other EDM styles but even if you're new to music-making, Ryan is here to break it down step by step and have you creating basic Trap beats in minutes.

_ Trap and the 808 Drum Machine _
An integral part of Trap is of course the sound of the classic 808 Drum Machine. Its distinctive metallic hi-hat sound and the deep sub-bass of the kick has inspired beat makers since its release in the 1980s. And it has since become a vital part of the Trap-style of Hip-hop. To say the least: In Trap, the 808 is a vital component. This is why we made a vital tutorial where you will learn how to use classic 808 samples and how to create an even bigger sound by combining the 808 with other drums and samples. By the end of this video, you'll have learned the basics of layering drum sounds, wiring combinators, advanced drum rolls, and triplet accent rhythms.
