I went to High School in LA with Morris. One of the nicest, humble and most talented people you’ll ever meet. He was an incredible pianist even then.

I love that the kids recognize the music that we listened to when we were kids. I remember when 2001 was released in 1999, I was 16. That album was the most played thing in our hs parking lot.

Beat part is how all the students stayed quiet and enjoyed the performance and waited till the end and clapped like they were at an opera with no shouting or cheering.

True musicians have no bias towards good music. Regardless of a so called “genre.”
Very impressive work my friend.

This is how to get kids to go from game systems to creating new music that is not just digital beats and samples. I was fortunate to meet Dre at a studio and observe he’s genius. The way he incorporated strings and other instruments layered into his music is more than some people understand at first. This shows the side of hip hop and rap that you can just use an instrumental and still bob your head to this
