How to calculate an estimate of your daily macronutrient/caloric accounting breakdown:
1. Weigh yourself nude first thing in the AM after pissing and shidding, and without eating or drinking. Don't weigh yourself completely clothed holding a gallon water jug at the gym after school/work after having a meal or two.
2. Measure or estimate your body fat percentage.
3. (Bodyweight*body fat percentage)*(1 gram of protein per 1 lb of lean body mass) = daily grams of protein.
4. 1 gram of: protein, carbs = 4 calories, fat = 9 calories. Multiply your daily grams of protein by 4 calories per gram to get your daily calories from protein.
5. Each day aim to consume 50% carbs, 30% fat, and 20% protein. Therefore compute (daily calories from protein)/0.2 to get your total daily caloric intake amount.
6. Compute either 50% or 30% of your daily caloric total, then divide by either 4 calories per gram of carbs or 9 calories per gram of fat, respectively, to get your daily carb and fat targets in grams.
Taco seasoning:
(T = tablespoon, t = teaspoon)
1 T chili powder
3/2 t cumin
1 t NaCl
1 t black pepper
1/2 t paprika
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t onion powder
1/4 t crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 t oregano
