Omg thank you so much for this video. You saved me. I’ve been doing a LOT of troubleshooting and no one showed half the things you did. Thank you!

@19:32 one of my favorite tips from you. The HOT SWAP.
So much better than the pause/resume=layer shift!
Thanks Frank! :)

Watching your videos is how I got into 3D printing. These are such helpful tips especially adjusting your z axis while your printing to get that perfect first layer.

I'll definitely be using this guide for my first printer. It's such a valuable guide and easy to understand. Thanks!

For anyone trying to get into the space, or any space, watch as many YouTube videos on the subject as possible. In my experience, the more you acclimate to the information you're receiving, the more comfortable you'll feel. See what information keeps sticking out and let it stick with you. I watched videos for years on building/upgrading computers before I actually went out and did it, which gave me the skillset required to build/upgrade my first computer with no issues, so I highly recommend this method if you have the patience.

I had no idea about baby Z steps! Thanks for that! Will be super helpful!

Idk how to express how helpful the baby z step portion of this was. I’m using a glass bed that seems to be warped because the corners are even but the middle sits lower. I used baby z step for the entire first layer of a boba fett helmet and it changed the game. Couldn’t get the print started before. Thank you once again for a brilliant tutorial.

Great tip on not disabling the steppers. I was taught to disable them while leveling. Did it your way and PRESTO good first layer. Knew something was wrong but never suspected that as I moved the printer head by hand I was lowering the Z on my Ender 5.

15:00 After I cut at a 45° I like to then clip a tiny piece of the point off. For some reason I've found that the point causes the filament to jam when inserting; however, if you nip that a little you'll almost never have issues 🤘🤘

I am so glad I found your channel, got a ender 5 plus and your channel has made my experience with 3D printing very fun and learning me up well

Thank you for the bed leveling thing, I didn’t ever move my axis around to level the bed. I though you auto level and do the paper test in the middle to change the z offset.

I bought an Ender 3 Pro beginning of this year. Apparently, the rods no longer have a flat cut into the post. The gears are hot-pressed onto the post. Just a heads up.
