1.2.2 Distinguish between fundamental and derived units and give examples of derived units

Derived units as the name suggests are derived from fundamental units. A Newton is a kg m s^-2. Think of this as a factor tree where a number is broken down into its factors until the factors are cannot be broken down anymore.
