I've never opened up a laptop before but with your help everything went well. I removed about ten years of dust and fluff from the fan vent.

Hi great video, I got this hard drive I fitted into my G62, I is just one I had lying around. it does'nt work and I was wondering if you knew why? RPMs are them same, but I'm wondering if it is because that hard drive writes at 5gps and therefore is too quick for this pc? Would really apreciate an answer. Looks super cool with the processor change and everything would like to do the same with my old laptop, but our market for that is super limited here in Denmark(fewer suppliers).

upgraded the ram in mine to 8gb, 2x 4gb in duel channel, made a huge diff compared to the original 6gb it came with, it was so slow, doing the hdd>>ssd next, wouldnt mind knowing the cpu id need to upgrade tho? what should i be looking for, my G62 is an i3 m350 and it shipped with 6gb ram and 320gb hdd and windows 7 (now upgraded to win 10)

Nice thanks, I have similar one and I tried to upgrade the ram. Finally I done it but my G62 doesn't turn on. I have only the power button light on and the capital leter button flashing. Would you please tell me what happened to my G62?
