Tamasos Dam is closed to the villages of Politiko, Pera Oreinis and Kampia. and is located in Lefkosia, Cyprus. It has a length of 1.95 kilometres. But it is split in seperate ways: 1 2 . It has a capacity of 2,800,000 c.m. of water. Its construction was completed in 2002. The small dam creates a more beautiful scenery of the Valley formed by Pediaios River.
When the water is not too high the dam is offered for fishing and many locals love to go fishing here.

Το μικρό σε χωρητικότητα φράγμα Ταμασσού βρίσκεται δεξιά του δρόμου Ψημολόφου - Καμπιών και είναι κτισμένο με χώμα στην κοιλάδα που σχηματίζει ο ποταμός Πεδιαίος. Σκοπός του φράγματος είναι να περιορίζει την ορμητική κάθοδο του ποταμού προς την Λευκωσία και να βοηθά στον εμπλουτισμό των υπόγειων νερων της περιοχής.
