STOP TOPPING TREES, PLEASE!!! Vargas Landscaping Presents

Doesn't the excessive amount of branches look a mess! Why are there so many branches on this lovely tree?? The answer is "TOPPING".
Ismael Vargas pleads with you to stop topping trees (please excuse the wind noise as it slightly affects some sound). He shows you how to clean up a branch with excessive growth by cutting extra branches way at the neck of the branch (heads up: the first few minutes are in Spanish because the native language emerges when such passionate topics like Topping arise).
The Chinese Elm was topped a year ago and since then, each branch resulted growth from that wrong pruning. It's a mess! By topping the tree, it gets stressed and the tree doesn't have enough foliage to produce food, so the internal system says, "OKAY, you need to produce branches to produce food to stay alive!"
Now it will increase our time to prune...so please, No Topping, no topping!! Au revoir!
