This is an excerpt from the full symphonic medley I did of the How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack. The original composition as first heard as a small motif in "This is Berk". The full-fledge piece was then introduced when Hiccup takes Astrid for a flight on Toothless for the first time.

To this day, my favorite scene in the trilogy and my favorite scene bar none. Your recreation is just... I don't know how but it's just so perfect, I can see Astrid stunned as she, Hiccup, and Toothless go on that life changing ride.

Thanks for doing such a good job, not just on this track, but the rest you did for HTTYD.

Always when I hear these soundtracks, so many images come up in my mind and I can‘t explain them in this comment, it would just be a hole novel, but what I can say is this: It‘s beautiful. In fact, it‘s so beautiful I almost cry and I am not a person who cries a lot.
This series was absolutely amazing as it was and you know those things, that are beautiful, you don‘t want them to end, right? That‘s why I almost cried. Because it is already over but with this soundtrack so many memories and images just come to my mind and I imagine myself being hiccup flying over the mountains of berg and seeing this beautiful place with all it‘s colorful dragons and then steering to the sunset, gliding gently above the water to this wonderful orange red in the far…
