I love this group as well. Somebody described them something like, the Evil Twins of Mumford and Sons. I thought that was pretty keen. Their lyrics tend to be very dark and violent in direct contrast to the incredible musicianship. Banjo Odyssey is another favorite of mine.

The Dead South is from Canada. Such a catchy tune for a murder/suicide story!!! They also do this video version featuring the one and only "Mr Bean" and it's hilarious! I recommend "You are My Sunshine" by Dead South which has a dark spin on another catchy tune! Been listening to them for a while and yes, they lean towards Blue Grass influences. Howdy from Texas🤠🤠🤠

My son has always disliked country.. but about a decade ago in his 20s, he ran across these guys and he really doesn't care about modern country but he loves blue grass thanks to The Dead South.
