Late Great Warren Zevon - Live 1980 in NJ

Zevon was born in 1947 in Chicago, the son of a young Mormon woman and a middle-aged Russian-Jewish immigrant gangster. He died in 2003 after a long battle with everything.

"By rights, Warren Zevon should be regarded as central to modern American music as Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen -- both of whom, incidentally, revered Zevon. As it is, a decade after his far too early death, Zevon remains the definition of a cult hero, known to relatively few but utterly adored by them." - Hadley Freeman

If you can't solve the problem with those three things, you are well and truly fucked.

It is confusing how one could not love Warren Zevon.
Short attention span maybe.
Love you Zevon way out in the cosmos!

One of my favorite songs ever. A simple but powerful and fun balled, easy to listen and dance to.

LONG Ago, on those occasions when my behavior was perhaps a modicum less than optimal and Mom called out my Full AND MIDDLE NAME, "Send Lawyers, Guns and Money" came to mind IMMEDIATELY. And an Emergency Room Doctor, Priest and pair of stainless steel boxer shorts would have also been VERY Welcome Members to my "Team."

RIP, Sir. And PLEASE Know that, despite the fact that you left us WAY Too Soon, you live on in the Hearts of your Millions of fans :, , , ((

I am old enough to know better, but too late in appreciating the talent and influence of this performer. Long live Warren Zevon.

The all-powerful warrior who, because of his endurance and inflexible will to win, goes from conquest to conquest, leaving fire in his wake.

I saw this lineup at a big outdoor festival in Edmonton in 1980 - 'Mohammeds Radio' that day was epic, so powerful... almost like being in Church, if that works for ya... some folks don't like that - whatever. On the same show was Ian Hunter w Mick Ronson - Ronson's tone and presence was Huge, way up front in the mix, I'll never forget that sound.

"Dad, get me outta' here..."

Seems intelligence is a "family business". Many rock stars have parents in the same line. Most, in fact.
