Installing Plex on OMV5 Livestream - 6/15/2020

In this stream we look at installing Plex on OMV5 in real time :)

In this video/blog post we'll look at how to install Plex on OpenMediaVault 5 using Docker and Portainer.

Suggestion: For a long video like this, you should put timestamps in the description showing different milestones to help people who are looking for specific spots to jump in (Example - a timestamp for you describing your favorite plugins/add on containers that work in tandem with Plex)

to fix this issue of not recognising server you need to use plex claim. in the environment section add, - PLEX_CLAIM= #optional

Question - considering i've a running drive with EXT4 or NTFS with Data. can i simply add/mount and create share smb etc without formatting it with OMV ?

Thanks for this fella, stack was so much less of a pain to use- I did a noob thing and use notepad not notepad +++ to dump the code to put together the absolute path addresses, notepad changed the code for some odd reason making it show the folders in the Hdd just not the video music files themselves-

Any direction on how to update the Plex Server on Raspberry Pi 4 and OMV? I tried to update the container on Portainer to pull the latest image but the version doesn't update and stays the same.

What on earth is this mess? I always appreciate this guy's videos, but certainly not this time. There is absolutely no prelude to what is taking place or going to take place . . . Just a melting pot of clicks, pastes, and changes. As far as I can see nothing supports the title of Installing Plex on OMV5. I was expecting a in OMV5-installation tutorial]. This isn't it. I guess I'll have to go back to his earlier videos to see how to install Plex on OMV5 rather than tweaking an already existing installation. All that said . . . this guy is a smart guy and knows his stuff and I commend those attributes. However, at the very least, the title of this video should be altered.
