i have been playing this song on my guitar for AGES and didn't know whether to cover it but i finally decided to do it last week cos i love it very much. it's one of my favourite songs ever in the whole wide world with my favourite ever lyrics and i wish more people knew it :]] the lyrics in this song inspire me a lot for my own, so i hope u like this rendition of it :D

i know i say this every time but i wanna say a huge thank you for the immense outpour of love that my content has been seeing at the moment, it makes me so happy to know that what i do can be a comfort to some and that people generally enjoy what i do. infinite thank u's would never be enough :') thankuthanktahtank thanku !!!!

Actually, about a month or two before my dad passed away last year, I had played this song right before talking to him on the phone for the last time. When it happened, he lived across the world and I couldn’t go to the funeral but I remember this song meaning much more to me afterwards. I played it on the guitar and piano so many times. Now it’s bittersweet to listen to, but dang I’m glad I listened to this cover. That bitterness is just a little sweeter this time. Thank you beetlebug 💛

Great job! I am 62 and really don't listen to very many covers of this classic. You nailed it, beautiful. While watching it I came across this quote of Van Gogh: “I would sooner paint people's eyes than cathedrals, for there is something in the eyes that is lacking in a cathedral - however solemn and impressive it may be. To my mind a man's soul, be it that of a poor beggar or of a streetwalker, is more interesting.” I too struggle with my mental health so I hold this song as something special. Thanks for covering it.
